Our wines

TERROIRS

Our white wine is the fruit of rather chalky, marly-limestone, or limey terrain (topsoil, brown or limey soils): alkaline; favourable to the expression of the CHARDONNAY grape variety, it produces fine, original wines, suited to a certain ageing.

These are the southernmost BURGUNDY appellations.

The terroir for our red wine is siliceous over granitic subsoil; areas can be observed where the ancient soil was stripped through erosion. This is typical of our part of the southern Mâconnais adjoining Beaujolais.

GAMAY expresses the best of itself with this type of soil.

Bright gold robe with white highlights. A fresh, fruity nose of a fine intensity, white flowers, quince compote and honey. In the mouth, flavours of pear and dried fruit (almond, hazelnut). A wine of great length, powerful and fleshy, with a fine balance and remarkable acidity.

This great white Beaujolais is ideal for aperitif time and pairs magnificently with very mature comté cheese and assorted cooked meats.

Chardonnay grape

Clear and brilliant wine with a lovely pale gold robe. The nose develops spicy cinnamon aromas accompanied by notes of orange and white flowers. Long and powerful in the mouth, exceptional aromatic intensity with notes of white citrus and very ripe white flesh fruit (pear), accompanied by a touch of vanilla and fresh wood.

This limpid and brilliant wine sports a beautiful golden colour with silvery highlights.

The Pouilly-Fuissé 2011 offers up a ripe nose of summer fruit aromas such as peach together with subtle notes of roses and citrus fruit.

The generous, fruity mouth is also very lively. Aromas come to the fore, with mentholated and fresh wood notes.

This wine, while still young, is a treat at aperitif time, with fish or after a few years 2/3 years) to accompany a Bresse fattened hen with morel mushrooms.

A limpid and brilliant wine, pale yellow in colour. Highly expressive, revealing notes of dried apricot and white flowers, as well as a mineral touch through subtle flinty aromas. In the mouth, extraordinary length and finesse revealing a mineral character recalling stony slopes of the Chasselas hillsides.

Very appealing ruby robe with purplish-blue highlights.

This Juliénas offers up a spicy nose over roasted cocoa notes, with ripe fruit and powerful nuances.

In the mouth, this is a full wine with fine, silky tannins. Roasted notes and tangy fresh fruit flavours (redcurrant, raspberry).

This Juliénas 2010 is perfect to accompany main courses, a variety of cooked and grilled meats and soft cheeses.
